Maker: Twyford  Pattern:Panorama
Wash Bowl c1888
Thomas Twyford started his pottery at Hanley, specialising in sanitary wares in 1860. One of his most popular patterns was Panorama, a romantic landscape of castles and lakes, with people and appropriately fountains. This wash basin is suitable for use today, just needs a collar and plug hole in the bottom and a competent plumber! Would fit into a 12" aperture in wash unit. Backstamp: impressed TT in Staffordshire knot with Hanley beneath and date code for October 1888, plus the figure 13. Excellent condition and sturdy to withstand modern use.
Dimensions: 34.5 cm diameter 16 ins high / 13.5 ins diameter 6.25 ins high
