Gorgeous covered dish. The gently moulded cover has ornated embossed decoration around the central loop handle.

Inside the base there is a little discolouration to the stilt marks and one or two minor manufacturing blemishes. The cover has just a little very minor wear to the handle otherwise excellent condition. Overall absolutely fabulous.

Comport c1890
This round comport has a decorated splay foot and pierced side handles. It is of rather grand proportions and displays typical Doulton quality.
The glaze is finely crazed, with a small area of the palest stain. Overall it is bright and clean and will grace any table.

Sauce Tureen c1880s
Wonderful set of lidded tureen and stand.
Backstamp: Asiatic Pheasants Doulton's.
The stand has a little pitting and a couple of tiny chips under the rim. The tureen has a little discolouration mainly to the feet, also a small firing fault to one foot, inside a few minor manufacturing blemishes and a little minor wear to the rim. The lid has a tiny chip underneath to the inner rim which has discoloured slightly. The written description makes this sound awful, but it is in fact a delightful set.

A stand for the large soup tureen, but a lovely piece in its own right with fabulous mouded side handles and wavy rim.

There is a little discolouration on the back and to the outer rim and side handle and just a touch to the face. There are a few lines of crazing on the back, but overall this is a lovely piece.

Soup Tureen c1885
A superb soup tureen made by Doulton and in excellent condition. There is a chip on the end of one handle and a couple of tiny glaze defects on the bottom, but otherwise hardly a mark on it. The ladle has crazed glaze and a hairline, where the bottom of the handle and bowl join, which looks as if it was originally a firing or stress crack occurring during manufacture.

A delightful little dish comprising of three parts: base, strainer and cover. The base has a decorative moulded body with a gilt rim which is quite worn although the rim is not visible when cover in place. The oval strainer has clearly seen active service with the gilt rim worn and it has some crazing. The cover has a gilt rim with gilt highlights to the pretty loop handle, although this gilt also is worn. Altogether a really pretty piece.

Ewer and Bowl c1899
Where to begin to describe this stunning set? The large ewer has an attractive moulded body with decorative moulded relief around the top and to the base. The rim is edged with gold and there are gold highlights to the ornate scroll handle. It is in amazing condition. The large bowl has a gilt rim (which shows signs of wear) and is beautifully decorated inside with just one cartouche of pattern to the outside. It has some light crazing noticeable mainly underneath to the base and there is a suggestion of a faint star crack, but this appears to be only in the glaze as it certainly does not go through to the inside. Bowl diameter 16.5 ins, 5.25 ins high. Blue printed Doulton backstamps on both pieces with the impressed date for January 1899 on the bowl. Chamber pot also available.

Ewer has light all over crazing and inside minor discolouration and a small firing fault. Bowl has a little mnor wear to the rim and the occasional very minor blemish. Chamber pot has a little wear to the gilt and inside some surface scratching and minor discolouration. Soap dish has a little minor wear to the gilt and is lacking its lid otherwise excellent condition. The vase has light all over crazing a little wear to the rim and underneath a little discolouration otherwise excellent condition. Overall this is in really good condition and so rare to find all of the pieces together.

Backstamp: Impressed and printed Doulton Burslem England and date for 1903, printed Nankin and in script 9 9320 1.
On the bowl there is some surface scratching inside, a little wear to the gilt and a little crazing. the ewer has a little minor wear to the gilt otherwise excellent condition. Overall a wonderful set.

A rare and unusual jug in Doulton Norfolk, which was made early in the life of this pattern, when Doulton were still experimenting and using it on highly decorative pieces. This tall jug is beautifully made and printed.

Light all over crazing with some signs of stress inside to the base and a little minor wear to the handle but overall a fabulous jug.
