There is a little wear to the gilt, some surface scratching inside the spout and to the lid light crazing. None of which detract from this lovely piece.

With gilt. A G Harley Jones of Fenton produced their version of Booths Real Old Willow in the late 1920s and early 1930s. This is a lovely set of rectangular tray with pierced side handles and six small plates with indented corners and made specifically for Lawleys of Regent Street, London. Backstamp: AGHJ Stoke on Trent Wilton Ware Ye Old Chinese Willow Made in England. Lawleys Regent St Esd Phillip's 1760. The tray has light crazing and just a little very minor wear to the gilt. One of the small plates has light crazing and the others have just a little very minor wear under the rim. Overall excellent condition and a fabulous set.

The base is crazed although has not absorbed any of the stain that is so often seen with cheese dishes. It has a tiny tiny chip to the foot underneath and a small chip to the rim and the gilt is a little worn. The cover has a few lines of crazing otherwise is in excellent condition.

With gilt. Lovely domed cover from the muffin dish with ornated embossed design around the base of the loop handle. No backstamp. This lovely lid has a very small chip to the rim and is crazed otherwise excellent condition.

Meat Dish or Platter Battle of Waterloo c1827
Jones & Son of Hanley were only in business from 1826 to 1828, yet are famous for producing a fine series of blue printed scenes in a series called British History. A dramatic border of crowns, bishop's mitres, implements of war and flowers frames the central scene of the Battle of Waterloo. Backstamp: typical blue printed large cartouche with British History, Battle of Waterloo and Jones & Son. The glaze is finely crazed, with one small area of very light associated staining, which is barely noticeable. Under the rim a couple of tiny flakes of glaze missing. Overall bright and clean with few signs of use. A magnificent platter with fine battlefield scene of a major moment in British history.

This jug or pitcher is an unusual shape for Abbey. It is square or octagonal depending how you view the indented and fluted body! It may be be Jones' Royal shape, which normally applied to dishes, but transported to a jug could look like this. The glaze is finely crazed, but apart from that it is perfect, quite white, bright and clean. Blue printed backstamp with Abbey 1790 in the cartouche, with England and G Jones & Sons above.

A hot water jug with a chocolate pot lid. Look perfectly OK but may not function quite as well when pouring. A little minor discolouration around the foot and transfer just a little hazy otherwise fine. Blue printed backstamp with the work MAKE under England.

Luton shape with sunk knob, Item AB57 in Jones catalogue. Backstamp: George Jones & Son Abbey 1790 England. To the pot there is a little wear to the inner rim and inside a little minor mottling and also to the spout. A little loss of glaze around the base of the handle and a little wear and discolouration to the inner rim of the cover. This sounds awful but looks lovely!

This is a most unusual teapot and so pretty. It has a bulbous body with a pretty flared wavy rim. The scroll handle is beautifully decorated as is the spout. The pot has light crazing and there is a small chip under the spout, part of which was a manufacturing one and has been glazed over. All in all a lovely teapot.

A most unusual octagonal pot with the standard Abbey pattern to the rim, spout, handle and one side of the body, but the other side is a scene outside a blacksmiths shop of King William IV's coach. Pretty acorn finial to the cover. Backstamp: Crescent GJ & Sons George Jones & Sons Made in England and on the body "King William IV's coach was used by Queen Adelaide an aunt of Queen Victorian and later as the State Coach of the Judge's of Assize at Carlisle 75 years ago. Excellent condition.
