Cache Pot or Jardiniere c1930s
An extremely rare item in Abbey, an oval jardiniere or planter. This is a lovely piece whether you are an Abbey collector or not.
The glaze is finely crazed and there are a couple of glaze blemishes, which occurred in manufacture, along with nibbles on the foot rim, which were glazed over. Overall a lovely bright piece in excellent condition.

The glaze is crazed and has absorbed some staining, mainly inside the jardiniere. There is an apparent minor star crack underneath, although it does not show through. The outside is bright, overall good condition, and looks fine on display.

Soap Dish c1920s
Round dish with three parts - base, pierced strainer and cover. The loop handle to the cover has a small hairline. The strainer from the top looks unused however when turned upside down shows that it has an extensive hairline running from the rim nearly to the centre. The base has tiny hairline to rim. All sounds pretty awful but this is a lovely display piece.

We believe this to be from the toilet set rather than a drinking horn. It is altogether chunkier than a drinking horn both in potting and proportions. Backstamp Abbey 1790. It has two small hairlines to the base otherwise superb.

This bowl is large and grand. It would have been part of a toilet set. There were at least three different shapes of ewer and two of bowls. This bowl is decorated inside and out and has a plain everted rim.

Toilet Set c1920s
Olympic Shape. This magnificent set comprises of a ewer, bowl, 2 chamber pots, soap dish and vase. The bowl has light crazing and a little very minor wear around the rim otherwise excellent condition. The ewer has a little discolouration to the foot otherwise is excellent. One chamber pot has just a touch of crazing and a little discolouration around the handle, the other pot is in excellent condition. The soap dish is made up of three parts - base, strainer and lid. The lid has a few blue smudges on the white area otherwise all in excellent condition. The little vase is also excellent condition. Blue printed backstamp on all pieces.

A fabulous most unusual piece with gilt spatter decoration around the rim and to the body. The side handles are formed as long loops and highlighted with gilt.
Backstamp: Birds and Bloom G J and Sons Rd No 56152, black printed GJ & Sons England and in script 9480. Pattern design was registered 13 September 1886.
LIght crazing and there are three discreet hairlines to one of the loops and two hairlines and a little wear to the other. Overall the hairlines do not detract from this fabulous piece.

Pretty sauce tureen with dark blue pattern and guilt decoration. Blue printed backstamp Crescent over GJ and Sons cypher with England and Chelmsford beneath. Few signs of wear and the glaze is crazed.
