Vase with Cover c1914
Chinese Figures pattern was registered by Copeland Spode on 26 May 1914 and is a combination of their famous Peacock design, introduced c1813 and Cracked Ice, introduced c1821. This elegant vase has a domed cover with a Dog of Fo finial in dark cobalt blue. Dogs of Fo are Chinese dragons and this one is more akin to a grumpy bulldog with a long tail.
The glaze is finely crazed, but both vase and cover are in excellent condition.

Dinner Plate c1830
A Spode design that is seen rarely today. It was introduced about 1815, with production continuing during the Copeland and Garrett period and beyond. The engraving appears to have been designed to be enamelled and pattern number 2486 was an enamelled version dating to about 1815. However, most pieces found today are plain blue.

Few signs of use and really in excellent condition. A fine example.
