 | Maker: Spode Pattern:Dragon Covered Pot c1815 Bone china with gilt decoration. Fabulous oval pot, which may originally have been a large sugar, with fixed ring decoration each end. This pattern was made by several makers, including Spode, Coalport and Miles Mason and most often on bone china tea wares.
No maker's backstamp, but from pattern detail and shape we have attributed this piece to Spode.

This picture is one from the original series, which remained in the ownership of the Copeland family until offered for sale by Robert Copeland, great-grandson of W T Copeland. It is a sepia wash watercolour over pencil drawing and is in good condition with only one dot of foxing. It is signed E Duncan 1849. Mounted and within an old oak frame measuring 17.25" X 14.25". Inscribed on the back is "This is the Property of Mr T R Copeland". Dimensions: 23 cm x 15 cm / 9 ins x 6 ins
