Dog Bowl c1820
These early dog bowls rarely survive today and seem to have been a Spode speciality. This fabulous bowl stands on four feet and is beautifully decorated all over. It is one of the smaller bowls.

Light crazing with a very small chip and a little wear to the foot rim. A small hairline to one of the feet and inside a little minor surface scratching with just a hint of discolouration and small rub to rim with some loss of glaze. Sounds much worse than it looks and overall it is in very good condition. About as good as they come for a dog bowl.

Dessert Bowl c1880
Also known as Bird & Grasshopper pattern. A Chelsea shape dessert dish, with fluted rim, printed in dark blue with this traditional design, which was introduced about 1812.
This dish has had quite a life having been in three pieces and restuck, with several hairlines running in from rim. On display you would just about get away with it as almost perfect!
Impressed backstamp Copeland B and date for November 1880.

Dessert Service c1879
This pattern was first introduced in about 1812 and in turn is based on a design on Chinese porcelain that dates from 1770.
This absolutely wonderful part dessert service is in stone china with gilt rims and lavish gilt decoration. It comprises of one tall comport, two low comports and six plates. All of the pieces are in absolutely wonderful condition.
Backstamp is blue printed Copeland China seal mark, with pattern number 1/1748 & 1/1761 in script (the latter on the tazzas) in script and impressed dates for 1879.
Stands are 8.5" diameter, & 2.5" & 3.75" high
