Teapot Merry Meal c1920
There were several styles of teapot made in Tower pattern, but none as big as the Merry Meal, which holds 6 pints and it certainly does as we have tested it! It was listed in Spode's 1920 catalogue at £1.32, which is approximately $2.50. Factory records show that not many were made and few have survived.
It measures 13.25 ins from handle to spout, 9.5 ins at maximum diameter and 7.5 ins overall height. The photograph does not convey the enormity of the piece.
Condition is as good as you could hope. There is a little crazing to the glaze, a firing stress crack on the inside of the front handle, a tiny nick to the rim of the lid and some rubbing to the spout. Blue printed oval mark Copeland, Spodes Tower, England and impressed Copeland Imperial mark.

Butter Dish with Cover c1910
This is a most unusual item. The round pot is fixed to the stand and the cover has four holes pierced in it. We are grateful to Robert Copeland and Pam Woolliscroft of the Spode Museum Trust, who identified it as a Butter Pot and found reference to such pots in an early catalogue dated about 1910. We also found a similar item in a different pattern in an Army and Navy Stores Catalogue of 1937-38, where it was described as a meat pot.
The cover has had a "ding" on the rim, which has caused a V shaped hairline, one arm of which has run a little way in from the rim. There is a tiny chip on the inner rim, which fits inside the pot. The glaze is finely crazed, but otherwise it is in excellent condition.

This is a lovely piece with white gadrooned rim. It has an impressed date but this is too indistinct to read, but we estimate this to be an earlier piece. It has light crazing with just a hint of staining although this is mainly to the back. the surface however is still bright with barely a scratch. Blue printed oval mark and impressed copeland crown.

Dish with Cover divided c1903
An attractive and unusual dish with a central divide and cover.
A little wear and browning to rim and a possible teeny hairline, plus mall stress cracks, where the divider joins the dish. All very minor. Cover fine, so overall excellent condition.
Blue printed oval backstamp and impressed Copeland crown plus date code for December 1903.
