Unusual oval dish with crenellated rim. This would appear not to be Spode's Chelsea shape as it is not really fluted, although there is moulded shape to the body. The rim is really quite spikey and higher at the ends than in the middle.
Superb condition, almost as new.
Blue printed oval backstamp and impressed Copeland Spode Impl Rd No 90067, which is belived to have been used from about 1890 to 1935.
We have never seen this shape dish before.

Round serving dish on a riased splayed foot, with two moulded and pierced side handles. Domed cover is panelled with artichoke finial. This style of dish is rarely found today and here the Tower pattern is printed in the less often seen light/medium blue. A lovely piece the footed base completely decoration inside with border and full pattern and outside narrow border pattern around the foot and three cartouches of the Tower around the body. The lovely domed cover has full border and main pattern with pretty flower finial.
The base has light crazing and there are two minor hairlines to the rim of the foot and a little minor discolouration underneath. The cover has a little light staining inside otherwise is fine. This is a most impressive piece. Blue printed oval mark, impressed crown and impressed date for May 1900.

Three handled tyg or loving cup in a large size. Beautiful pearly glaze. Has the inscription "We'll tak a cup o'kindness yet for days o'auld lang syne" inside the neck rim. A minor knock to the foot rim and a suspected minor hair line inside the mug, although how it might have got there is a mystery. A little crazing to the glaze. Blue oval printed mark. A magnificent display item. Both a rare and striking piece.
