Maker: Pountney Pattern: Italian
It is not widely known that the famous Pountney factory at Bristol produced an early version of Spodes famous Italian pattern. This dinner plate dates from c1825 and the glaze is crazed with light staining to face (visible in photograph) and back, otherwise fine. An interesting example of plagarism from another age.
