Maker: Clyde Pottery Pattern: Fougaballagh
Fougaballagh or Faugh-a-Ballagh was the winner of the 1844 St Leger and other notable horseraces. It was ridden by H Bell and owned by Mr E H Irwin and sired by Sir Hercules. It is rare to find racehorses depicted on China. Fine crazing and a little discolouration around the stilt marks. Some wear to the rim and the transfer is a little smudged to part of the rim also. All pretty minor.
Dimensions: 23.5 cm / 9.25 ins
