Maker: Spode Pattern: Tall Door
A stylish Chinese design possibly copied from a textile pattern. Printed here in Ultramarine on pearlware.
There is an old chip on the rim at about 3 o'clock measuring 0.75 x 0.5 ins 2 x 1 cm. It could be restored. The glaze is crazed otherwise good condition.
No maker's backstamp, but attributed to Spode.
Provenance: The personal collection of Gresham Copeland, passing by descent to his son Robert Copeland. Collection identification label on back AGC 489.
