Maker: Spode  Pattern: Trophies blue with colour

This pattern is more fully entitled Trophies Marble and it is only known on the gadroon shape, usually printed in deep Royal blue with the blossoms tinted (or clobbered) underglaze in orange. The border is Marble or Mosaic pattern, more often called Prunus and Cracked Ice these days, and the centre is Trophies Etruscan pattern.
Blue printed backstamp Copeland and the rare impressed Copeland seal mark.
Provenance: The personal collection of Gresham Copeland, passing by descent to his son Robert Copeland. Collection identification label on back AGC 644.
Some signs of wear, mainly rubbing to the rim, otherwise excellent.
