Maker: Minton  Pattern: Camel and Giraffe

A camel and giraffe set amidst an Oriental landscape are the main features of this intriguing design. Thomas Minton took his inspiration for the animals from the wood engravings of Thomas Bewick.
This impressive platter is in excellent condition. There are some minor utensils marks from use and behind the rim at the bottom there is an old knock, but it is not chipped. The glaze is sound and overall this platter looks as bright as the day Minton made it almost 200 years ago.
No maker's backstamp, which is typical with this pattern.
