Maker: Folch Pattern: Blue Pheasants
At first sight this is Blue Pheasants by Masons, however the backstamp is attributed to Stephen Folch (& Sons) of Stoke, active 1819 to 1829, and on closer examination there are several differences to the Mason's version of this design.
This is possibly a small platter or more probably the stand for a sauce tureen.
It is in excellent condition and this is a rarer and better quality ironstone item than its Mason's eqivalent.
Blue printed backstamp of pre-1838 Royal Coat of Arms with IMPvD IRONSTONE CHINA, STOKE WORKS within a drape below.
