A lovely small platter, in this popular series, depicting Holkham Hall in north Norfolk. Holkham, designed in the Palladian style, was built for Thomas Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester and construction took from 1734 to 1764, although the 1st Earl died in 1759 before it was completed. Today it is the home of the 7th Earl and his family.
The glaze of the platter is crazed and has some associated staining, but this is mainly on the back. Usual blue printed backstamp Holkham Hall in ribbon.
Dimensions: 27 cm x 21.5 cm / 10.5 ins x 8.25 ins
