Maker: Davenport  Pattern: Number 72 colour

Pattern number 72 in Davenport's fine Stone China series, which does not appear to have a name. Delicate gossamer-like printed design with hand painted colour, including two Asian birds, in lovely old tones. Moulding and colour to rim.
Few minor nicks to base rim, but in superb condition with hardly any wear or signs of use. A beautiful Stone China drainer by one of the best makers.
Printed backstamp of Garter mark with Davenport, Longport, Stafford and inside Stone China and anchor. Pattern number 72 in script.
