A most unusual piece with a decorative fruit pattern printed in a pretty shade of blue. This jar has a screw top which fits very well - sometimes they are something of a struggle! There is a slight difference in the shade of blue between the jar and the cover but we believe they started out life together. Both pieces are crazed and there is a little light staining to the inside rim of the jar and to the cover where the usual treacle stains have been absorbed, but overall a good example of a treacle jar.
