Maker: Spode  Pattern: Number 7049 blue with colour

Made during the Copeland & Garrett period, this plate has a flow blue printed floral and foliage design, with hand enamelled colour decoration and gilt highlights and a yellow faux gold rim. A bold and striking colourway. The border is a popular Spode design known as Ship border.
Backstamp: green printed crown and wreath cartouche with Copeland and Garrett and 7049 in script.
The glaze is sound, a little wear to the enamelling and a couple of possible nicks on the rim, which may have been part of manufacture or touched in later, difficult to tell. Overall lovely condition.
