Maker: Burton Pattern: Vase of Flowers
Made by Samuel and John Burton of Burslem, Staffordshire, who were in business from 1832 to 1845. The pattern name is a given one and it is sometimes known as Lovick's pattern after the Norwich retailer, whose printed backstamp has been recorded on this design.
No backstamp.
The glaze is crazed with a a small area of minor associated discolouration on the front and outer rim, as part of this at 5 o'clock there is a hairline running in from the rim. There is an area of discolouration on the back. Sounds much worse than it looks, as on display it looks fine and if you don't tell your friends they will admire your beautiful platter.
Dimensions: 44 cm x 34.5 cm / 17.25 ins x 13.5 ins
