Maker: Riley Pattern: Peonies Mosaic
Several makers produced variants of this design and sometimes it is called Basket and Flowers, simply Basket or Basket of Flowers. This is a rather bold, vibrant version, in which the flowers dominate the basket and examples have been found impressed Riley for John & Richard Riley of Burslem, active 1796-1828. Their name for the pattern was apparently Peonies or Mosaic.
No maker's backstamp.
A tiny rim chip on the back of the piercing and the glaze is finely crazed, but bright and clean. Looks fine.
