Maker: Goodwins and Harris  Pattern: Metropolitan Scenery Series

Lovely little stand with delightful floral border. This series is believed to have been made by Bagster first and then Goodwins & Harris acquired the printing plates and continued production. This stand is from the Goodwins & Harris era and the scene is Saltwood Castle near Hythe in Kent, most recently the seat of the late Alan Clark of political diaries fame. This is a previously unrecorded view in this series.
Blue printed cartouche backstamp: Metropolitan Scenery Saltwood Castle Kent.
There is a little minor wear and touch of discolouration to the inner rim and on the back, overall very good condition.
