Petty Wiseton Hall Plate c1840

Maker: Petty  Pattern: Wiseton Hall

This pattern is rather an enigma as it was given the name Gazebo in recent times. Subsequently, once the house in the view was established as Wiseton Hall, Nottinghamshire, the pattern name became Wiseton Hall, then another version was recorded with the contemporary printed pattern name Cattle Scenery.
Backstamp: Impressed H.
Surface scratching with wear and discolouration to the outer rim and on the back and loss of glaze to the stilt marks. This plate has seen life, but a wonderful opportunity to own an example of this lovely pattern.

Dimensions: 24 cm / 9.5 ins
