Maker: Ridgway Pattern: Etruscan Shield
Made by William Ridgway & Co of Shelton & Hanley, Staffordshire. An intricate pattern, with a bird set amongst foliage in the vignettes and floral swirls set amongst everything else!
Backstamp: blue printed anchor and urn with WR&Co beneath and the pattern name in a ribbon beneath that.
The glaze is finely crazed, with the odd touch of discolouration on the back, but the face is clean and bright. Overall a lovely plate.
