Maker: Marsh Pattern: The Villager
This pattern is usually attributed to William Turner of Lane End, Staffordshire active 1806 to 1829, although the same design was produced by Jacob Marsh and Heathcoate & Co. This plate is unmarked and as it appears to be rather late example it has been attributed to Marsh, who was active 1819 to 1832.
No maker's backstamp.
The glaze is finely crazed and some signs of use and wear, mainly to the rim, but overall a good clean and bright example.
Dimensions: 26.5 cm / 10.5 ins
