Maker: Meir Pattern: Italian Scenery
John Meir & Son of Greengates Pottery, Tunstall active 1812 to 1897. Such small plates are much rarer than the large dinner size plates.
Backstamp: blue printed scroll and floral cartouche with Italian Scenery within.
The glaze is crazed, with just a hint of associated staining here and there most noticeable on the back.
