Maker: Harvey Pattern: Girl At Well
Spode are believed to have been the first to produce this design in 1823. It was copied by at least five other makers and the original name was The Font or simply Font. This plate is by C & J Harvey of Longton active 1818 to 1827.
Backstamp: Impressed HARVEY.
A little minor surface scratching and it is crazed with some discolouration, although this is mainly on the back. Overall a fabulous plate.
