Maker: Davenport  Pattern: Chinese Pastime

A stunning large tureen with ornate handles. Gorgeous floral border decorated the foot and rim of the lid.
Backstamp: Davenport and impressed Davenport above anchor.
The lid is crazed with just a little minor discolouration and there is a small firing fault to the rim. The tureen has a little minor discolouration inside, a small rub on the side just below the parasol, a firing fault where the foot joins the tureen and underneath a small chip to the foot. The lid is a slightly darker blue than the tureen. Oh dear this sounds absolutely awful! In reality it is an impressive and attractive display piece.
