Maker: Wedgwood and Co Pattern: Asiatic Pheasants
This is a beautiful platter from the supposed creators of this design.
There is a little light crazing to the glaze, a short discrete hairline on the rim and the odd glaze blemish, but frankly this is as near perfect as they get.
An impressed backstamp Wedgwood & Co with Erieshape and registered number for the shape for 21 June 1867. This was registered by E & D Chetwynd & Co, who were apparently agents for Wedgwood.
Dimensions: 45.5 x 36.5 cm / 18 x 14.5 ins
