Maker: Rathbone Smith  Pattern: Asiatic Pheasants

Rathbone Smith & Co of Soho Pottery, High Street, Tunstall active 1883 to 1896. Attractive dish standing on four small feet. Typical blue printed cartouche backstamp R S & Co. To the base there is some wear around the rim and some areas of light brown mottling mainly underneath. There are however no chips, cracks or crazing! The cover also has a little minor mottling, a little wear to the handle and there are a couple of marks to the rim where it would have stood in the kiln, but overall it still shines like new.
