Maker: Spode Pattern: Asiatic Pheasants
Small oval dish with everted rim and a wonderful piece in superb condition. Decorated internally and plain white on the outside. These dishes are extremely rare and this one especially so. There is an impressed backstamp Copeland over a crown and date mark for March 1890.
Copeland Spode never produced Asiatic Pheasants, although marked pieces turn up rarely. They are believed to have supplied blanks to another unknown factory in the the 1890s for decoration.
Dimensions: 14.5 cm x 11 cm & 3 cm high / 5.75 ins x 4.25 ins & 1.25 ins high
