Maker: Burgess and Leigh Pattern: Britain Beautiful
With gilt. This popular series was named after a Harold Bennett art exhibition, featuring his British landscape scenes, this particular one of Balmoral Castle.
Backstamp: Britain Beautiful Burleigh Ware Est 1851 B & L Ltd England Reg Trademark Balmoral Castle Reg Shape 772000 and impressed Ivory.
There is some surface scratching, a little wear to the gilt and to the rim and a tiny manufacturing blemish to the face. Sounds much worse than it looks, this is a lovely little platter.
