Maker: Wardle Pattern: Arcadian Chariots
Made by Wardle & Co of Washington Pottery, Hanley, Staffordshire. Has the appearance of a piece from around 1820, although dating to around 1900.
Invalid feeding cups are now of another age, but are popular with collectors today; so an unusual piece and such a pretty shape. It does have some crazing to the glaze and a discreet hairline running down from the rim for about 1.5" or 3 cm.
This is unusually large for a feeding cup and is a decorative piece.
Dimensions: 13.5 cm diameter 17 cm to spout 6.5 cm high / 5.25 ins diameter 6.75 ins to spout 2.5 ins high
