Maker: Wardle  Pattern: Arcadian Chariots

Made by Wardle & Co of Washington Pottery, Hanley, Staffordshire.
This is rather chubby to be a true Portland vase and the side handles are mere apologies for grand loop handles. However, it has a charm of its own.
The glaze is crazed and there is an area of amateur restoration on both neck and foot rims and a chunk out of the neck rim has been restuck, but well. Looks fine on display.
Typical blue printed cartouche backstamp with pattern name and impressed Wardle, England.
