Maker: Cauldon Pattern: Chariot
A most unusual piece, probably a muffineer or possibly a sugar sifter. Lacking its top which may have been ceramic or indeed silver. There is some wear and discolouration around the screw top and just a little around the shoulder, but overall is in excellent condition.
Backstamp: Black printed Coalport England A.D. 1780 King's Ware. In 1925 Cauldon bought Coalport and in 1926 moved all production to their existing factory.
