Maker: Jones George Pattern: Abbey
It is not often you find an oval meat dish or platter in Abbey.
This one has some utensil marks and a couple of marks on the rim, where it stood in the kiln. In lovely condition, with a slight pearly glaze.
Blue printed backstamp with Abbey 1790 in the cartouche and George Jones & Sons above and England beneath. Impressed date mark for 1940, which was the year Abbey was discontinued.
