Maker: Johnson Bros Pattern: Old Britain Castles
A stunning large ovoid liquor barrel with large sealed filling hole on top and at a tap at the base, featuring "Cambridge in 1792" and "Carisbrooke Castle in 1792".
Backstamp: JBDI England Vitreous China Johnson Bros Made in England Old Britain Castles.
The seal around the cover has perished, fixing the cover so firmly that it is not possible to remove it. The tap has aged somewhat, but this just adds to the character of this piece!
