Maker: Kent Pattern: Ye Olde Foley
Made by James Kent of Longton and Fenton. Quite extraordinary is the only way to describe this vase with its generous bulbous body and funnel neck topped with wavy rim chimney stack effect, highlighted with deep cobalt blue and white decoration. An English rural scene on one side and landscape of ruined castle or abbey on the other.
Superb condition, almost as new.
Typical blue printed backstamp of crown over globe with J Kent, Fenton, England with Ye Olde Foley Ware beneath and Kendal for the shape.
