Maker: Masons  Pattern: Mazarine Blue

This highly decorative vase has a deep cobalt blue body, which is decorated with gilt flowers and foliage and hand painted flowers, fruits and leaves in delicate pastel enamel colours. Rings of burnished gold decorate the foot rim and neck, as well as the serpent form side handles.
This may or not be by Masons, as there is no maker's backstamp. The quality and style of this piece are totally in keeping with Masons, but we have not identified this precise shape or pattern on a marked item.
Whatever its provenance this vase is of quality manufacture from the early 1800s and today is a delight to behold.
