Maker: Minton  Pattern: Chinese Dragon and Bird blue with colour

Blue printed dragons and birds with hand painted green and terracotta highlights and terracotta rims. A lovely comport with moulded side handles, which originally would have had a lid but is a lovely piece on its own.
Backstamp: Chinese Dragon & Bird, M & Co, England and registration diamond for March 1853, this being the year the pattern was introduced. Impressed Mintons.
There is the occasional minor blemish and on the back a little shadowing of the glaze and minor wear to the foot, overall excellent condition.
