Maker: Ridgway Pattern: Dado
Made by Ridgways of Bedford Works, Hanley, Staffordshire. A dramatic ewer in the realistic aesthetic style, decorated with rose hips and hawthorn. On one side is a vignette of a country scene with a man in a boat on a river.
There is a star craze in the glaze on the bottom, but it is in really lovely condition.
Blue printed backstamp of bow and quiver with Ridgways, Stoke on Trent. Registered numbers 688 for 1884 and 20250 for 1885. Impressed date mark for 1890.
