Maker: Spode Pattern: Number 7790 blue with colour
Blue printed floral design with added enamel colour painted by hand. Pattern number 7790 was introduced in 1848. Green printed backstamp Copeland Late Spode and impressed crown. Taking everything together suggests a date of manufacture of about 1850.
There are a few tiny firing cracks and the glaze is finely crazed, but overall this platter is brigth and clean. On display it looks magnificent.
