Maker: Spode Pattern: Tower
A factory sample piece with a test strip along the top and part of the border pattern printed on the back.
Backstamp: Impressed Copeland Spode Imperial and date for 1942.
There is a large chip on the right which will have happened during manufacture and was glazed. This has discoloured otherwise the platter is in excellent condition.
