Maker: Wedgwood Pattern: Ferrara
Printed in a light blue. Ferrara is a port in northern Italy. Wedgwood had the design engraved in 1832 and produced it in various forms until the 1960s. The sailing ships were copied from an engraving of Liverpool Docks, England. This was probably from a small ewer and bowl set but is a lovely piece on its own being beautifully patterned both inside and out.
Backstamp: Ferrara Etruria England Wedgwood and impressed Made in England.
A little minor surface scratching otherwise excellent condition.
Dimensions: 26 cm diameter, 9.5 cm deep / 10.25 ins diameter, 3.75 ins deep
