Maker: Chetham and Robinson Pattern: Willow
This large round bowl with a white gadroon rim was made by Chetham, Robinson & Son active 1834 to 1841 at Commerce Street, Longton, Staffordshire. Bowls of this size were either large serving dishes or small wash bowls and are not seen that often today.
The glaze is finely crazed and has taken up some overall light staining, mainly visible on the outside. There are three old minor knocks to the gadroon rim and a small chip on the foot rim. Otherwise good condition.
Blue printed backstamp with the word Warranted over Royal Coat of Arms, with the initials CR&S below.
Dimensions: 32.5 cm diameter 7 cm high / 13 ins diameter 2.75 ins high
