Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern: Two Temples
Bone China with gilt. A fantastic teapot and beautifully ornate in the Rococo style. It stands on 6 small feet, has a lovely scroll handle with spur and gentle moulded decoration to the spout. The gilt is quite worn in places and there is a touch of crazing here and there, spots of glaze discolouration on a length of the top rim of the foot, a tiny nick on the inside of the inner rim of the cover and a tiny stress crack inside the pot, where the handle joins the body. All very minor as this pot is in superb condition, especially for a pot of this age. No makers backstamp.
Dimensions: Overall height 19.5 cm 1 ltr / Overall height 7.75 ins 1.75 pint
