Maker: Woods  Pattern: Mayfair blue with colour

A large early example of this popular Woods pattern, with blue transfer printed design of Asiatic Pheasant in floral setting, hand painted colours of brown, green, yellow and mauve, with brown and blue gadroon rim.
A few lines of craze in the glaze, but generally sound, a minor nick or under rub the rim, overall bright and clean.
Typical blue printed Woods backstamp, impressed date mark for September 1919 and pattern number 1685 in script.
It is rare to find these large meat platters today.
