Maker: Dimmock  Pattern: Morea

A generous sized cheese stand with a bright white body printed with the Morea romantic design. Morea is part of Greece. Morea pattern is a series of different romantic scenes appearing on the various pieces. It is well recorded and usually shown as maker unknown, however, on the strength of having in the past had a platter with the impressed Dimmock monogram, we attribute pieces to Thomas Dimmock of Shelton and Hanley, Staffordshire active 1828 to 1859.
