Dimmock Morea Plate c1840

Maker: Dimmock  Pattern: Morea

Morea pattern is a series of different romantic scenes appearing on the various pieces. It is well recorded and usually shown as maker unknown, however, on the strength of having in the past had a platter with the impressed Dimmock monogram, we attribute pieces to Thomas Dimmock of Shelton and Hanley, Staffordshire active 1828 to 1859.
Backstamp: blue printed cartouche with Morea and Stone China beneath.
The glaze is crazed and there are some areas of very faint associated staining. Some signs of use, but bright and clean and good condition.

Dimensions: 25.5 cm / 10 ins
