Maker: Elkin Knight Pattern: Rock Cartouche Series
Elkin, Knight & Elkin of The Foley Potteries, Fenton. A drainer in their well known Rock Cartouche Series, which here is a view of Lancaster and includes the castle, St Mary's Church and the town bridge over the River Lune. This drainer is crazed with some associated staining, particularly to the back. There is wear around some of the holes, around the central hole and to some of the rim however all this does not really detract from this lovely piece.
